Toolangi Elite has attained the Nurseries and Garden Accreditation and as such, complies with the standards of the Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme and, we are working with the NIASA Best Management Practice Guidelines to constantly improve the business. This accreditation, which is annually audited, helps to ensure the production of vigorous crops under high health circumstances, all whilst reducing our environmental impact. This accreditation is additional to the requirements of seed certification.
The facilities and services at Toolangi Elite are independently audited and assessed by an external auditor to ensure compliance with the AuSPICA accreditation standards for minitubers and laboratories. External audits are conducted on every crop and the external auditor visually inspects the plant health and biosecurity of all the crops and, in doing so, collects leaves (1 plant in every 40 plants) for virus testing (PLRV, PVS, PVX, PVY, TSWV) at a NATA accredited laboratory.
Toolangi Elite is compliant with ISO9001:2015, an externally audited Quality Management System. The ISO9001:2015 standard helps companies meet both customers’ and regulatory requirements. It is a process-based standard which helps to identify and implement improvements including, the focus on continuous improvement which ultimately benefits the seed certification scheme.
